Embryo Implant Support
Special laboratory methods can significantly increase your chances of pregnancy success.
EmbryoGlue
EmbryoGlue is an innovative method we use to enhance the implantation of embryos during assisted reproductive treatments.
How does EmbryoGlue work?
Specialized Medium: EmbryoGlue is a unique culture medium enriched with hyaluronan, a substance naturally present in the female reproductive tract. This medium helps create an optimal environment for embryo implantation.
- Enhanced Adhesion: Hyaluronan improves the embryo's ability to adhere to the uterine lining, increasing the chances of successful implantation.
- Transfer Procedure: During the embryo transfer procedure, embryos are placed in EmbryoGlue before being transferred into the uterus. This enhances their chances of successfully embedding into the uterine lining.
International studies have shown that using EmbryoGlue for embryo transfer significantly increases the clinical pregnancy rate from 41% to 49%, compared to conventional culture mediums.
EmbryoGlue is particularly beneficial for couples who have experienced repeated implantation failures or those undergoing their first IVF cycle. By creating a more favourable environment for the embryos, EmbryoGlue aims to improve implantation rates and overall pregnancy success.
Assisted Hatching
Assisted hatching is an advanced technique used in assisted reproductive treatments to improve the chances of embryo implantation and pregnancy success. The principle of this method is to gently create an opening in the outer shell of the embryo, called the zona pellucida, to help the embryo hatch and implant more easily into the uterine lining.
This method is particularly suitable in the following cases:
- When the female partner is of advanced maternal age
- When previous IVF cycles have resulted in poor implantation rates
- When embryos have a thick zona pellucida
- When frozen-thawed embryos are used
- In other cases, depending on the physician's recommendation
How does Assisted Hatching works?
- Embryo Preparation: The embryos are cultured in the laboratory until they reach the appropriate developmental stage.
- Creating an Opening: A small opening is carefully made in the zona pellucida using a laser or chemical solution under a microscope.
- Embryo Transfer: The embryos with the assisted hatching are then transferred into the uterus. Using TESE embryos can help increase the likelihood of successful implantation.
FAQs about Special Laboratory Methods
Everything you need to know about your journey to conceiving a baby.
Can I combine laboratory methods to maximize the value of my treatment?
Using additional laboratory methods or a combination of these can often be beneficial, but this is not a guarantee of success. In practice, success is determined by the quality of male and female reproductive cells.
How much does each method listed above cost?
The price of an additional methods varies between 500 and 1000 RON. See our price list for complete details.
How do I find out which methods are suitable for me?
Additional laboratory procedures may be used as part of an in vitro fertilization procedure. This determination is made only at the direction of the embryologist or physician, depending on the complexity of the case.
Is EmbryoGlue safe?
EmbryoGlue treatment does not carry any additional known risks for the woman undergoing fertility treatment or your future child.
