Dr. Anca Coricovac is the Medical Director of the Gynera Clinic, primary obstetrics-gynecology physician, IVF specialist, University Lecturer in Embryology at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila", Doctor of Medical Sciences and Senior Embryologist with European accreditation (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology).
She currently coordinates the medical activity of Gynera Clinic, as Medical Director and specialist with vast experience, after many years of perfecting advanced medical techniques, providing consultations, surgeries and procedures of assisted reproduction and in vitro fertilization.
With more than 16 years of experience in the sphere of couple fertility as well as embryology, she has been included in national and international working groups on research and statistical studies. She has participated in numerous national and international scientific meetings, presented and published, as author or co-author, scientific papers in specialized journals.
As a lecturer at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila", she has trained numerous specialists and has been a member of examination boards for infertility treatment, providing training and medical education for young gynecological specialists in this field.
For more than 10 years, as well as at present, she continues to lead the Gynera team of embryologists, focusing her interest on understanding as accurately as possible the earliest stages of embryonic and fetal development, the causes of infertility, and oocyte and sperm defects. Together with Gynera's team of embryologists, she has participated in solving difficult infertility cases, resulting in the birth of more than 3,000 children conceived by complex and innovative assisted reproduction and sperm micromanipulation technologies.
Dr. Coricovac holds the degree of Doctor of Medicine, her PhD. thesis "Impact of predictive factors on success rates in assisted human reproduction" has been recognized as a best practice guide in assisted human reproduction procedures.
Dr. Coricovac is Vice President of the Romanian Society for Fertility and Assisted Reproduction Association and member of several professional societies in the field of assisted reproduction, including the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).

Dr. Laura Dracea is the founder of the Gynera Fertility Clinic and a leading expert in obstetrics and gynecology She graduated from the University of Medicine in 1992 and has trained at top IVF clinics in the US, France, and Israel.
In 1999, Dr. Dracea performed the first in vitro fertilization procedures at the “Panait Sarbu” Clinical Hospital in Bucharest, where she led the Assisted Human Reproduction Department for ten years, helping hundreds of couples become parents.
As a lecturer at the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, she has trained many specialists and served on examination commissions for infertility treatment. A pioneer in minimally invasive gynecological surgery since 1995, she has performed over 1,000 laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures.
In 2007, Dr. Dracea founded the Gynera Fertility Clinic, introducing advanced techniques and achieving remarkable results. She is an active member of ASRM (Romanian Medical Association), ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology), and a founding member of SRFRA (Romanian Society of Fertility and Assisted Reproduction). Her contributions have been recognized in “Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare” and the “Encyclopedia of Romanian Personalities”. In 2010, IBS in Cambridge, UK, named her “International Health Professional of the Year”.

Dr. Dorina Codreanu has been with us from the start, coordinating scientific activities with her extensive experience. She provides consultations, assisted reproduction procedures, birth assistance, and laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries, in collaboration with private hospitals in Bucharest.

Graduating from UMF “Carol Davila” in 1998, Dr. Codreanu specialized in obstetrics and gynecology. With over 10 years at “Panait Sarbu” Clinical Hospital, she gained vast experience in assisted reproduction, high-risk pregnancies, and minimally invasive surgeries. She earned her doctorate in 2009 and a postdoctoral scholarship in 2010 for optimizing ovarian stimulation protocols in IVF.

As an assistant professor, she has trained many students and specialists. Dr. Codreanu has authored the clinical guide “Premature Birth” and has contributed to national clinical guidelines. She has published numerous scientific papers and has participated in international conferences. She is a founding member of SRFRA (Romanian Society of Fertility and Assisted Reproduction) and an active member of ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology), ARCE (Romanian Association for Endoscopic Surgery and Other Interventional Techniques), and SOGR (Romanian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology).

Dr. Oproiu joined the Gynera team in early 2013 and excels in performing reproductive investigations and treatments, including hormonal therapies, in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer, artificial insemination, and hysteroscopic procedures.
Collaborating with “Panait Sarbu” Clinical Hospital and private hospitals, Dr. Oproiu handles high-risk pregnancy interventions, offering comprehensive care from infertility investigation to birth.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Oproiu is actively involved in research within a doctoral program in assisted reproduction and regularly participates in national and international scientific events. She is a member of ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) and a founding member of SRFRA (Romanian Society of Fertility and Assisted Reproduction).

Dr. Boleac joined the Gynera team in early 2012 and successfully performs a wide range of reproductive techniques, including hormonal treatments, in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer, and artificial insemination. He collaborates with Panait Sarbu Clinical Hospital and private hospitals to conduct complex laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries and to monitor high-risk pregnancies, offering patients comprehensive care from infertility investigation to birth.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Boleac is engaged in research within a doctoral program in assisted reproduction. He has published studies and regularly participates in national and international scientific events. Dr. Boleac is a member of ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) and a founding member of SRFRA (Romanian Society of Fertility and Assisted Reproduction).

Dr. Bodea joined the Gynera team in September 2020 and successfully performs reproductive investigations and treatments, including hormonal therapies, in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer, artificial insemination, and hysteroscopic procedures.
As a collaborator with the Regina Maria health network, Dr. Bodea provides comprehensive care for both network subscribers and Gynera clinic patients, offering services from infertility investigation and surgery to high-risk pregnancy management and childbirth assistance.
She is a member of ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) and SOGR (Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Romania).

Dr. Cristina Damian-Tănase, a specialist in obstetrics, gynecology, and infertility, is a dedicated professional with advanced training in France and Belgium. She is committed to continuous learning and deeply understands the emotional needs of her patients, making her a trusted partner in their journey to parenthood. Dr. Damian-Tănase knows the importance of providing answers, comfort, and understanding, always striving to meet her goals and those of her patients.
Her experience at international centres, such as the Centre Hospitalier Rene Dubos in France and the Louvain University Clinic in Belgium, has enriched her approach to infertility and assisted reproduction, blending clinical practice with medical research.
Dr. Damian-Tănase is a member of ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) and ISUOG (International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology).

Dr. Natalia Buinoiu, an obstetrics and gynecology specialist, graduated from the "Carol Davila" Faculty of Medicine UMF in 2013 and completed her residency at Filantropia Clinical Hospital in Bucharest, during which she published scientific papers. To deepen her knowledge of infertility management, treatment plans, and assisted human reproduction procedures, she specialized in these fields at King's Fertility Clinic in London.
Currently, Dr. Natalia Buinoiu performs infertility investigations and reproductive treatments, including hormonal treatments, artificial insemination, and hysteroscopic interventions. She also provides subsequent pregnancy follow-up and birth assistance. Natalia is empathetic and understands that every couple is unique. Her approach involves informing patients about options, risks, benefits, success rates, individualizing treatment, and respecting decisions.

Dr. Nicoleta Vladescu is a member of ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology), ARCE (Romanian Association for Endoscopic Surgery and Other Interventional Techniques), and SOGR (Romanian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology).

Dr. Andreea Enache has recently joined our team as a specialist with experience in couple infertility treatment, endometriosis, assisted reproduction techniques, gynecological surgery, prenatal care, and childbirth. She has over 10 years of experience in infertility treatment and surgery, specializing in minimally invasive procedures for benign pathology, fallopian tube obstructions, pelvic adhesions, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, synechiae, and other uterine abnormalities. She provides an integrated, unified approach to complex infertility-related conditions through both surgical techniques and assisted reproductive procedures.
Dr. Andreea Enache coordinates the In Vitro Fertilization Department at “Panait Sârbu” Clinical Hospital and performs surgical treatments and birth assistance in both public and private settings. She has achieved outstanding results in the medical and surgical approach to endometriosis, one of the most common conditions associated with chronic pain and infertility.
Dr. Andreea Enache's experience is combined with a warm and encouraging approach to patients, being a compassionate doctor who knows how to listen, understand, and support them. At the Gynera Fertility Clinic, she provides consultations for infertility treatment, reproductive procedures (in vitro fertilization, artificial insemination), preoperative consultations for surgery, and monitoring high-risk pregnancies.

Dr. Maria Stratan graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at the "Nicolae Testemiteanu" State University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Chisinau. She is a member of ESHG and SRGM. In 2022, she attended courses in "Advanced Techniques of Molecular Genetics" in Craiova and "Next-Generation Reproductive Medicine" in Maastricht, Netherlands. In 2023, she attended the Basic and Advanced Course in Genetic Counseling in Bertinoro, Italy. She is a medical genetics specialist at the Cytogenomic Medical Laboratory and joined Gynera in 2024.

Dr. Mihailescu is a Primary Obstetrics and Gynaecology Physician and a Doctor of Medical Sciences. His extensive experience includes: obstetric ultrasound examinations (fetal morphology, 3D-4D, Doppler) for the first, second and third trimesters, breast ultrasounds, colposcopies, hysteroscopies, consultations, and delivery assistance. Furthermore, he has performed more than 10,000 obstetric ultrasound examinations for fetal malformation screening, documented over nine years, and has performed all the steps and procedures of the European program of Maternal and Fetal Medicine, including participation in invasive fetal therapeutic interventions. He has competence in transvaginal ultrasounds for infertility and a subspecialisation in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Dr. Mihailescu is a member of the ISUOG (International Society of Obstetric and Gynecologic Ultrasound) and the SRUOG (Romanian Society of Ultrasonography in Obstetrics and Gynecology).

Dr. Daniel Damian has been with our team since the beginning, bringing vast experience in andrology and male infertility, and performing complex surgeries at “Th. Burghele” Clinical Hospital of Urology in Bucharest.

Graduating from the University of Medicine in 1986, Dr. Damian specialized in urology with further training in Belgium and the U.S. He is known for his expertise in complex urological surgeries and handling difficult cases.
From 2003 to 2009, he collaborated with the Assisted Reproduction Department at “Panait Sarbu” Clinical Hospital, focusing on male infertility and surgical sperm retrieval. He earned his doctorate in male infertility through extensive research.
Dr. Damian is active in international scientific meetings on infertility and is a member of the European Association of Urology, the Romanian Association of Urology, the International Society for Sexual and Impotence Research, and SRFRA (Romanian Society of Fertility and Assisted Reproduction).

She is a member of the Romanian Society of Endocrinology, the Romanian Association of Clinical Endocrinology, and the Romanian Society of Osteoporosis.

Dr. Bogdan Staicu is a primary obstetrics and gynecology physician with over 20 years of experience in diagnosing and treating gynecological and obstetrical disorders. With expertise in laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, gynecological and obstetrical ultrasonography, and maternal-fetal medicine, his work focuses on minimally invasive surgery, pregnancy follow-up, and birth assistance. He has acquired and developed diagnostic and operative techniques through participation in numerous courses and training programs, both domestically and internationally, alongside world-renowned specialists.

With a passion for her field, Dr. Georgescu is dedicated to providing accurate and detailed medical images, contributing to the effective diagnosis and treatment of breast conditions. Her caring and professional approach ensures her patients receive the best medical care, always prioritizing their health.

Dr. Nedelea Sorin graduated from the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, specializing in urology. He joined our team this year and has experience in andrology and male infertility. He is also a Primary Care Urologist at “Prof. Dr Agrippa Ionescu” Emergency Clinical Hospital. Dr. Nedelea is active in international scientific meetings on infertility and is a member of the European Association of Urology and the Romanian Association of Urology.

With seven years of experience in hematology, Dr. Ana Maria Neagu has obtained several fellowships at medical institutes abroad, including the Institute of Pathophysiology and Nuclear Medicine in Skopje, Macedonia, the Cardiology Clinic of the Hospital "Krems" in Krems an der Donau, Austria, and the Municipal Hospital in Krakow, Poland. She has a special interest in the latest research in hematology, participating in significant events within the country.

Dr. Paduraru graduated from the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, specializing in anaesthesia and intensive care. He joined our team in 2008 and administers general anesthesia for IVF procedures as well as gynecological and urological interventions.
Dr. Paduraru is one of the few anesthesiologists with extensive experience in in vitro fertilization, performing numerous procedures on patients undergoing infertility and hormone stimulation treatments, alongside his work in current anesthesia and analgesia techniques.

Embr. George Porumb graduated from the Faculty of Biology at the University of Bucharest and completed a Master's degree in Applied Microbiology and Immunology. He is currently a PhD candidate in male infertility at the same university. In the year 2024 he obtains the international certification of senior embryologist following the examination organized by the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).
Since 2018 he joins our team, motivated by the desire to improve in a field in which he started his research during his undergraduate studies. His concerns centered on the evaluation of human gametes are embodied in two research works: 'The structure of oocyte sheaths and their role in the fertilization process' and 'Investigation of correlations between different seminal parameters in patients investigated for male infertility', each of them representing a scientific deepening of the vast field of embryology.
Embr. George Porumb has been trained in highly complex techniques in In Vitro Fertilization at Institut Marquès- Barcelona, Spain and The Centre for Reproductive and Genetic Health (CRGH)- London, UK, being some of the largest and most successful centers in Europe. He has also participated in numerous international courses:

Embr. George Porumb has extensive experience in the expertise and successful treatment of complex cases of male infertility (e.g. sperm from testicular biopsy) and female infertility (e.g. low ovarian reserve or fertilization failure), obtaining embryos and pregnancies in the most difficult cases of infertility.
Together with Gynera's team of embryologists, he has participated in complex infertility cases, which resulted in the birth of the first children in Romania conceived by advanced assisted human reproduction techniques, in a case of retrograde ejaculation and total globozoospermia. The successful cases were published in 2 internationally recognized journals.
As a member of the Gynera embryology team, Embr. George Porumb performs complex techniques in embryology and micromanipulation (ICSI/PGT), andrology and quality control, being concerned with the field of cryobiology, Artificial Intelligence and male infertility.
Embr. George Porumb has participated in numerous national and international congresses in the field of embryology and andrology and is an active member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and of the Romanian Order of Biochemists, Biologists and Chemists in the Health System (OBBCSSR).

With over 18 years of experience in assisted human reproduction techniques, embryologist Iulia Raica performs in our IVF laboratory procedures such as: Semen analysis, Cryopreservation of semen/TESE/MESA/microTESE, Preparation of sperm (fresh/frozen) for IUI, IVF, ICSI and TESE/MESA/microTESE, Collection and denudation of oocytes, Embryo classification, Vitrification of embryos and oocytes, Embryo transfer, Embryo biopsy, EmbryoScop embryo culture and analysis with iDAScore system.
She graduated from the Faculty of Biology of the Babeș Bolyai University, Cluj Napoca, in 2004, obtaining a Master in Genetic Engineering Techniques.
She specialized in assisted human reproduction techniques in 2006 at a prestigious fertility center in Vienna, working with pioneering IVF specialists. In 2010, she became one of the first Romanian specialists accredited by the European Society for Reproductive Medicine and Embryology (ESHRE).
She has contributed for 8 years to the development of well-known assisted human reproduction centers in the country, both as coordinator of the activity and as trainer for new specialists in embryology and assisted human reproduction.
Since joining our team in 2014, Embryologist Iulia Raica has performed complex micromanipulation techniques contributing to the birth of the first babies conceived from vitrified oocytes, played an important role in the improvement of the blastocyst vitrification program and in the development of the Embryo Biopsy program for the purpose of Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT). She participates in the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) techniques in our clinic, together with the other members of the embryology team.
She is an active member of ESHRE and of the Romanian Order of Biologists and Biochemists and has presented scientific papers at numerous national and international congresses.

Dr. Alina Dobre graduated from the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, specializing in anesthesia and intensive care. She joined our team in 2014 and administers general anesthesia for IVF procedures and gynecological interventions.
Dr. Dobre is one of the few anesthesiologists with extensive experience in in vitro fertilization, performing numerous procedures on patients undergoing infertility and hormone stimulation treatments, in addition to her work with current anesthesia and analgesia techniques.

Psychologist Elena Bangala has extensive experience in counselling and therapy for psychological problems resulting from stressful environments, corporate environments, anxiety, depression, infertility, and couple problems. She joined our team to complement our medical treatments and procedures with essential emotional counselling and support.
At the Gynera Fertility Clinic, we see the psychologist's role as crucial for counselling and therapy during treatments, after pregnancy loss, or for the donation/reception of oocytes, sperm, or embryos. Emotional support is essential for those facing infertility issues, often described as an emotional rollercoaster. The journey from infertility to the fulfilment of the dream of conceiving a child is fraught with fears, frustrations, and damaged relationships in family and professional environments. Many give up before completing treatments due to psychological pressure. Often, misunderstandings or obstacles arise that cannot be overcome without changing one’s perspective and approach.
A psychologist's help can be invaluable in viewing challenges from a different perspective, understanding feelings and experiences, or simply having someone to talk to without fear of judgment and with the belief that they will understand. Talk to your counsellor about what's troubling you and decide afterward whether it helps and whether you want to continue.
She is a member of the College of Psychologists and the Association of Psychoanalytic Counseling and Psychotherapy Bucharest. She is a counsellor at the Self Counseling Centre.
